About Me - petercastricone

Photography means many things to me. I began this journey while wishing to capture my experiences in the mountains and wilderness. There was an aspect of the wild that stayed with me in memory and beckoned me to return repeatedly. When I create an image, I am essentially capturing a moment that would otherwise be gone forever. This is an act of discovery, an act of witness, and an act of creation. Photography is art and it is documentary. It is a personal expression and a creative outlet.
