Dream Mirror
The first rays of light turn Hallet and Flattop Mountains a soft pink, which are nicely reflected in the mirror-like lake.
Twilight on Lily Ridge
I was truly lucky to capture this moment. I arrived at Lily Lake just as the sun dropped behind the mountain horizon. Not knowing where I could find a twilight view, I circled the lake and climbed a rocky ridge. Between the trees, I discovered this long northwest vista and captured this beautiful image. It was my only image of the day.
Longs Peak from Tombstone Ridge
Longs Peak vista from Tombstone Ridge, high in Rocky Mountain National Park. I spent a couple hours here watching the gorgeous sunset, but this was the first photo of the evening.
Dream Stream
As early morning sunlight illuminates Hallet Peak, a gentle stream just below Dream Lake offers serenity.
Tombstone Sunset
Hands down one of the most glorious sunsets I have ever witnessed in Rocky Mountain National Park. I misplaced my tripod adapter but I was still able to capture this scene holding the camera in my hands.
Golden Dream
A calm September morning at Dream Lake creates a near perfect reflection of Hallett Peak and Flattop Mountain in the golden glow of early morning light. Tyndall Glacier used to be in the saddle between the two peaks, but it has nearly completely melted out.
Longs Vista
Just off the trail to Dream Lake, I scrambled up some boulders and discovered this beautiful view of Longs Peak with the morning sun lighting up its east face.
